  • Emmaus Spirituality Center - Let's Journey Together

    • Emmaus Spirituality Center is honored to build on the wonderful foundation that the Cenacle Sisters provided in their 65+ years of service to the Greater Houston Area.  This video provides a glimpse of the past and you may find many faces you recognize.  Emmaus is continuing to build on the spirituality of the Cenacle and offers a variety of spirituality programs throughout the year.  Enjoy meeting Srs. Elizabeth Mozina, Mary Dennison, and Margaret Bryne.

    • The mission of Emmaus Spirituality Center is to companion all who desire to awaken and deepen their relationship with God, self, and others and to accompany them on their journey of transformation..

We strive to provide exceptional opportunities for in-depth spiritual work and spiritual direction, and seek to be the institution of choice to educate future generations of Spiritual Directors.

It is on the road where Jesus walks with us in our suffering, fear and hopelessness, helping us to make sense of the things around us.

Deepen your understanding of Easter as God’s resurrection moment and Pentecost as God’s resurrection movement!

      Choices
Through each heartache we experience we are brought closer to who we are meant to be.  How do you discern God’s plan for you through the choices you make? Are you bringing God into the choices you are making?  Recognizing the triggers that prevent you from turning to God, allows you to live in greater freedom.

    Spiritual Direction
    • Spiritual direction is a privileged time and place to reflect with another about your relationship with God. The focus is your life with God as it is lived out in all of your experiences. Spiritual direction is the process of coming home to your deepest self and how to live that reality with God, others and yourself.

The Emmaus Spirituality Center is committed to providing spiritual direction and programming in line with the spiritual practices of St. Ignatius.

As we look to find God in all things or explore our day through the Examen... St. Ignatius opens a beautiful pathway for us to experience a fuller relationship with our Creator.

    Spiritual Exercises
    • Spiritual Exercises is a retreat experience that has the power to transform lives by drawing one into the ever-present invitation to intimacy with God.  The dynamics of the Exercises provide a framework for prayer and reflection, engaging with Scripture and responding to the mystery of God, in Christ.

Guided by the notes that Ignatius of Loyola kept of his life-changing conversion experience, the director helps the retreatant to find their own unique path to inner freedom and generous service in a life centered in God's loving presence.
