Spiritual direction is a privileged time and place to reflect with another about your relationship with God. The focus is your life with God as it is lived out in all of your experiences. Spiritual direction is the process of coming home to your deepest self and how to live that reality with God, others and yourself.
The Emmaus Spirituality Center is committed to providing spiritual direction and programming in line with the spiritual practices of St. Ignatius.
As we look to find God in all things or explore our day through the Examen... St. Ignatius opens a beautiful pathway for us to experience a fuller relationship with our Creator.

Spiritual Exercises is a retreat experience that has the power to transform lives by drawing one into the ever-present invitation to intimacy with God. The dynamics of the Exercises provide a framework for prayer and reflection, engaging with Scripture and responding to the mystery of God, in Christ.
Guided by the notes that Ignatius of Loyola kept of his life-changing conversion experience, the director helps the retreatant to find their own unique path to inner freedom and generous service in a life centered in God's loving presence.

The Emmaus Spirituality Center offers a three-year formation program for Spiritual Directors.
The program is available to clergy, religious and the laity. The model of formation is the accompaniment of students on a journey of personal, intellectual, and spiritual transformation that prepares them to accompany others.
Classes are taught by credentialed individuals with extensive experience, knowledge, and skill in the various aspects of Spiritual Direction.
The Spiritual Direction Institute is in session from September through May. Interviews begin in June for classes starting the following September.

Reel Theology: Focused Conversations at Hollywood and DivineIn the spirit of past “Cinema at the Cenacle,” let’s explore the intersection of culture and spirituality as it’s reflected in contemporary movies. In a first hour, we will explore the various ways Christ can be conceived as relating to culture—noting the ways that Hollywood can be perceived by followers of Christ. Affirming that Christ can and does “play” in culture, a second hour will see us engaging a synopsis of one movie, Tender Mercies--processing it in the spirit of “Lectio Divina"

Prepare Him RoomAn evening of Advent preparation with prayer and worship. The Advent season invites us to step away from what can be a frenzied time of parties and shopping to consider how we commemorate the Birth of Jesus, one of the holiest times in Christian faith. Book Study SeriesThis is an 8-week study and discussion group, where we will explore Fr. Gittins transformative book, Encountering Jesus: How people come to Faith and Discover Discipleship. Through this study we will delve into seventeen Gospel stories in which individuals encounter Jesus and experience profound transformation. Participants provide their own copy of the book and should plan to read two chapters per week (approximately 30 pages), prior to the meeting. We will begin with Ignatian Imaginative prayer and discuss responses and insights. Discussion questions will be provided.

INSPIRED BY MARY: TRANSFORMED BY HER WAYSOn this weekend retreat, we will explore the life of Mary, mother of God and our mother. We will reflect on pivotal moments in her life such as the annunciation, the visitation, the birthing of Jesus, the presentation of Jesus in the temple, the wedding at Cana, Golgotha and with the disciples in the Upper Room after the resurrection. We hall reflect how these encounters with the Divine impacted her life and how we can be radically transformed by the same Holy Spirit of God.

The Ignatian Beloved Community is a gathering of ordinary Christians who companion each other in following in the footsteps of St. Ignatius. All who are attracted to Ignatian Spirituality are welcome to come together for shared inspiration and prayer based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola. We meet online on 1st Wednesdays in the months of October, February and May.Thursdays in February | 9:30am - 11:30am | $45 per session or $160 for all 4 sessions
A 4 -week series for those who are already familiar with the Enneagram. Each week we will focus on a different topic with the intent to make Enneagram information relevant for everyday life.
