Love and loss are parts of life. Poems have been giving comfort to the bereaved for centuries. From the psalms of lament in Scripture to contemporary poets like John O'Donohue and Mary Oliver, poets continue to write about the human experience of loss and grief. In this program Pat will share her love of poetry as one of the gifts God gave her as a companion to her grief after her son, Jeff, died. She will share excerpts from poems that helped sustain her. Participants will be encouraged to read and reflect on poems and prayers offered during this program.
