Spiritual Advisor & Liaison of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston
Father Chad Henry is a priest of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. He is a cradle Catholic, spending time at the parishes of St. Laurence and St. Theresa, both in Sugar Land, and Sacred Heart in Richmond. In the spring of 2012, he entered priestly formation for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. He attended Holy Trinity Seminary in Irving, TX for priestly formation and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from the University of Dallas, a Catholic liberal arts college. After graduating from Holy Trinity and the University of Dallas in the spring of 2016, he attended St. Mary’s Seminary in Houston for theological studies from 2016-2021.
Father Henry was ordained to the Diaconate by the late Bishop George Sheltz on July 10, 2020. He served as a deacon at Resurrection Catholic Church in Denver Harbor. June 5, 2021, Father Henry was ordained to the Priesthood by Daniel Cardinal DiNardo at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. His first priestly assignment was as Parochial Vicar at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Houston from July 1, 2021 through October 2, 2022. Currently he has been serving as the Parochial Vicar at Holy Family Parish in Galveston since October 3, 2022.
