Sr. Mary Guido, r.c., is a member of the Congregation of Our Lady of the Cenacle, an international religious congregation dedicated to awakening and deepening faith through retreats, spiritual direction, catechesis and programs of spirituality and faith formation. She entered the congregation in 1990 atter serving as a teacher in Catholic schools, a parish youth minister and as an administrative assistant in New York City cultural institution in the years following her graduation from college. Originally from Long Island, New Yor, she most recently served on the international leadership team of the Cenacle Sisters as a general councilor and as general secretary, living in Rome for six years and traveling to Brazil, England, Ireland, France, Italy, Madagascar, the Philippines, Singapore and Macau as well as the United States. Returning to the U.S. in February 2023, she now resides in the Cenacle community in Chicago where she serves as the secretary for the North American Province of the Cenacle Sisters. Prior to her international service, Sr. Mary was part of Cenacle spiritual centers in Pittsburgh, New York City, South Florida, the western suburbs of Chicago and Houston. During her years in Houston (2008-2016), she served as the Director of Ministry and leader of the local community of Cenacle Sisters, and her ministerial involvement included being a presenter in the Spiritual Direction Institute. Sr. Mary received her M.A. in Christian Spirituality and Graduate Certificate in Spiritual Direction and Directed Retreats from Creighton University in Omaha.
